Overview

Castdi organizes work around castings (structured casting calls), proposals (talent submissions), bookings (confirmed engagements), and projects (ongoing productions). Paid plans unlock software capacity — storage, workspaces, candidate limits, and agency seats — not paid listings or advertising.

Casting

A casting is a structured casting call created by a business. It includes one or more roles (e.g. lead actor, background), schedules, location, and compensation details. Talent and agencies use casting workflow tools to browse and respond; businesses manage casting calls under My Castings.

Proposal

When talent (or an agency on their behalf) apply, they submit a proposal: selected role(s), optional portfolio credits, and a short message. Businesses review proposals in the submission pipeline — pin, shortlist, reject, or send a booking request.

Booking

A booking is a confirmed engagement between business and talent for a specific role and time. Talent may accept or decline booking requests from the proposals hub or booking confirmation flow.

Project & workroom

After a booking is active, work moves into a project. Each project has a workroom with overview, shared to-dos, timesheet, and members.

Portfolio

Talent maintain a portfolio: profile, credits with media, social links, and a public booking CTA. Businesses view public talent pages when evaluating submissions.

Favorites

Favorites are personal sidebar shortcuts — pages and folders you pin for fast navigation, similar to bookmarks in tools like Linear.

Roles in one account

One login can support Talent, Business, and Agency capabilities. Use View as in the account menu to switch the active role; navigation, permissions, and billing follow the active role.

• Business creates casting calls and runs submission pipelines.
• Talent builds a portfolio and submits proposals.
• Agency manages a roster and can submit proposals for represented talent (agencies do not create casting calls).
